Recycled Flip Flop Bracelets: Pack of 6 bracelets made from recycled flip flops. Handmade by artisans in Africa.

After their livelihoods were threatened by a shortage of fish in the Niger river, the Bozo Tribe had to look at other ways to sustain their communities. Creating new ways to earn money, they started making bracelets and necklaces out of flip flops that floated down the river. There are now over 80 different families from the tribe creating this gorgeous jewellery.

Every bracelet is individually hand made in Mali, therefore no two bracelets are exactly the same.  Colours can vary, but that is the beauty of bespoke artisan products.  We have tried to include as many images as possible, so you can see the main colours.

The flip flops are cut, melted and twisted into bracelets over open fires.

Getting them on & off:  Make sure you roll the bracelets on and off carefully. You can use soapy water or hand lotion to slide them on and off if you need to.

They are washable, waterproof, durable, light and very comfortable. You can wear them all day, in the water, surf, sun, travelling, while on holiday or everyday to accessorise any outfit or activity.
